Andaman has a tropical climate with moderate temperatures ranging from 23°C to 31°C.
Monsoons : June-Sept :
Moonsoons brings medium to heavy rain, with hotels offering discounts. Temperature is between 23 to 29ºC. The monsoon season offers more options and scenic beauty.
Peak Season : Oct-March :
The best time to visit Andaman, when the weather in Andaman is celestial. Destination is packed from christmas to new year.
Hot Season : April-May :
Some increase in humidity. The day Temperature sometimes reached 36ºC. Summers are warm and pleasant with sea breezes. Generally after 3 pm, sea breeze(cool winds) starts from sea to land, which cools the atmosphere and makes the tourist experience pleasant.
How To Reach Andaman/Port Blair By Air
Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) is 5-7 km from the main city known as Portblair. The New terminal has recently opened.
There are direct flights from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad & Visakhapatnam. Number of flights can vary from city to city.
TRAVEL WITH IN ANDAMAN
Private Ferries for Havelock (Swaraj Dweep)
Multiple ferries (Caatarmine and monohull vessels) connecting Port Blair with Havelock Island and Neil Island operated by private sectors.
These are air conditioned vessels with a cafeteria with comfortable sittings.
Port Blair to Havelock: It takes 90 to 120 min to reach Havelock island.
Havelock to Neil island: It takes 60 to 70 min to reach Neil island.
Neil Island to Port Blair: It takes 90 to 120 min to reach Port Blair.

Pre-Paid Taxi & Auto
Prepaid taxi counters are available just outside the Arrival Hall of the Port Blair airport.
Fares depend on the distance traveled, however, an average trip around Port Blair can cost about INR 500.
The Pre-paid Cab Service from Veer Savarkar Airport is being manned by the Andaman and Nicobar Traffic Police under the charge of Dy. SP (Traffic).

Auto-rickshaws are available in Port-Blair but not the most comfortable way to travel within the city except for short distances.
Two-wheeler vehicles are available for rent(INR 600 per day) in Havelock and Neil Island, with driving license required.
Driving license is mandatory
Cabs are recommended for safe coastal travel due to basic medical facilities available on islands.
